When Helmut Newton’s SUMO was first published, only 10,000 copies were printed.  Each was signed by Newton himself and retailed for $15,000-.  The book contained 450 photographs, measured 20 by 27 inches and weighed over 70 pounds.  Philippe Starck even designed a stand to display the art piece.  Helmut’s wife, June, is releasing a more democratized version of SUMO in September of this year.  Smaller, lighter and a touch more affordable at approximately $200-.
