When Jeff Koons first exhibited Made in Heaven at the Venice Biennale in 1990, it generated some controversy. At the time he was married to porn performer and politician La Cicciolina (Ilona Staller), and for the series, he painted himself with his wife in a series of scenes reminiscent of Adam and Eve. On hallucinogens. His series is now on display at Luxembourg & Dayan (64 East 77th St, NYC) from October 6, 2010 to January 21, 2011.

Just a note: we’ve been having some technical difficulties (the worst kind of difficulties) here, but everything seems to be in working order now. More posts to come this month.

Actually, since I’m at it, what are some of your favorite tumblrs? We’d like to give other tumblrs more visibility. Send us a message/email with your recommendations and we’ll post our favorites here.
